Mother’s Day Celebrations with Joules | Part One

First off wishing all the Mums a very happy and celebratory Mother’s Day. I think I can speak for most daughters/children when I say Mums always go above and beyond for their children and grandchildren. I don’t think I could ever thank my Mum enough for all the love, determination and strength she’s shown me. So when Joules got in contact to invite Mum and I on a trip to Cornwall to celebrate Mother’s Day, I could hardly believe the email was for me. I felt so incredibly lucky to be invited on the trip and it was such a bonus and luxury to take my Mum with me. Joules has been a brand we have both loved for many years, their classic bretons are a wardrobe staple for us both. I love the brand’s story and their design ethic.

We had the pleasure of staying at the incredible Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall. I have never stayed at a hotel like this before, and I loved the look and feel of it. The decor is just stunning, the coastal influence and colour palette throughout the hotel I just fell in love with. Our room had been kitted out with Joules bedding and homeware and goodies galore. My Mum and I’s reaction was like it was Christmas morning. The Joules team went above and beyond to make it the most magical few days away together.

We headed down to meet the other bloggers and their Mums, and then checked out the SS18 collection and chatted to everyone over a delicious lunch. It was apparent from how lovely our lunch was that the trip was going to be one to remember. Everyone was sharing stories from when they were little, the loveliest bunch of ladies to be with. I shall mention everyone invited below if you’d like to check out their blogs. After lunch, we headed for a stroll on the beach, Watergate Bay beach is honestly one of the most stunning coastlines of England I’ve ever seen, I could have just spent hours admiring it and taking photographs.

We headed back up to the hotel as it started to rain, true British weather right there. Mum and I went to the beach club and went for an afternoon swim as the sun set and we watched surfers navigate the waves. I could have just stayed there all day looking at that view. But we had places to be, onto our print/scrapbooking workshop with the Joules design team. Time to unleash our artistic sides, it was so interesting to hear about the design process within Joules and the stories behind their classic and stunning prints.

We then headed to dinner at Zacry’s within the hotel and continued to share stories of family holidays, along with recent trips. We both didn’t want the night to end, but it’s safe to say we both fell straight to sleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow. Dreaming of what magic could be in store for tomorrow.

Follow the lovely ladies I shared this amazing trip with, they are all truly inspiring.

My Mum and I were very very kindly treated to this incredible trip by Joules and gifted some very beautiful clothes to wear which I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of. Thanks so much Joules!
