Mother’s Day Celebrations with Joules | Part Two

We awoke to the sunshine streaming in through the curtains. The past 24 hours had felt like a total dream, so to wake up in such a comfy bed and realise it wasn’t all imagined filled me with excitement for the day ahead. We immediately popped the kettle on to start the day and instantly started gushing about how brilliant yesterday was.

We headed downstairs to meet the rest of the ladies for breakfast. Watergate Bay have their very own waffle makers and I’m sure you’ll join me in agreeing it would have been rude not to try them out. Waffles with bacon and maple syrup certainly set us up for the day ahead. With the sun shining we just had to go for a long walk across the beach and admire the jurassic coastline. We spotted surfers on the way for their morning surf and families with children and dogs galore admiring the beautiful coastline. Cornwall you honestly captured a piece of my heart on this trip and it’s something I will never forget. I just know I have to visit Watergate Bay again very soon.

We got back to the hotel after our walk and had been booked in for treatments in the spa. Mum and I both had pedicures (the first time I’d had one and it was so lovely, been missing out this whole time). Staring out to the most incredible view of the beach and sea, I felt so relaxed I could have fallen asleep. We ran down in our flip flops to meet the rest of the group at The Beach Hut for lunch. I loved the decor of this restaurant; tiled tables, perfect for a foodie flat lay and such a welcoming and family feel to it. Mum and I spent a few hours in the Beach Club back at the hotel to soak in the sunshine and marvel at the view. I loved the playlist so much I asked one of the Watergate Bay team if it was online and I was very happy to find out that it’s on Spotify; I’m listening to it now in fact. It’s such a mix of chilled out and great songs to work to. You can check out their playlist here.

Later that afternoon we wrapped up warm to head into Padstow and to the Joules store, arriving through the door to prosecco and we had the whole store to our amazing group to see and try on the new collection. Mum and I just kept picking up hangers throughout the store looking for each other and then going ‘ Look at this!’. Safe to say Joules have done a fantastic job with their SS18 collection, can’t wait for more to land in store and online, might just have to treat myself! We all went for a wander around idyllic Padstow before meeting back up for dinner. The evening flew by as we discussed dream holiday destinations, favourite films and work stories; my cheeks were burning from all the laughing. We then went back to the hotel for a final restful night’s sleep and enjoyed gazing at the stars on the journey home.

We awoke bright and early the next morning, feeling a bit sorry for ourselves, Mum and I didn’t want to leave! We all met and went for a final stroll on the beach together. Joules (Nikita and Holly) did such an amazing job of inviting some many inspiring and truly wonderful women to share this trip and experience with. We walked back to the hotel for our final breakfast before saying goodbye to the group and heading to the airport. Arriving home from Cornwall, to what I can only describe as the most wonderful trip I’ve ever been on, I still feel as if I’m on cloud nine!

My Mum and I were very very kindly treated to this incredible trip by Joules and gifted some very beautiful clothes to wear which I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of. Thanks so much Joules!
