Isolation Dreaming

I’m trying my best to stay positive at the moment, as we are all going through the same uncertain time and are all feeling a huge host of emotions. We need to rally together and support/help one another where possible. One of the best ways I have found to stay positive is to look to the future and plan all the places I want to take a day trip to or a favourite restaurant I’ll visit again when we are able to return to normal.

It’s made me realise why wasn’t I making the most of whats on my doorstep, why haven’t I visited more National trust locations, gone to see more exhibitions, gone on more day trips with friends. So this post is acting as my call to action and to hold me accountable to visit said places. As well as planning a trip abroad, who knows when that might be I’d love to roam the streets of Paris again, a city I feel I know fairly well but always love discovering and seeing more. But top of my agenda would be a sunny holiday. I haven’t been on one since 2014 to Crete with my best friend Emily. I would love for us to have that exact holiday again; the same hotel/bnb and just to relax and read countless books by the sea listening to the waves, that would be utter perfection.

I have decided to start a hashtag on instagram #isolationdreaming the same title as this post. I shared the first and second on instagram last week with the aim to spread a little joy to others in hope for travels and places to explore in the future. I have been looking back through photos to compile this post to let you all know where I’d love to visit ASAP. So if you’d like to join in please do share a photo of where you are dreaming to be right now and you’ll hope you’ll be in the not so distant future (hopefully) I would love to see your posts and would be so wonderful to share these with others too. Use the hashtag #isolationdreaming and tag me on insta too so I can see them.

Here’s where I’m dreaming of visiting…

Fish & Chips on the beach in Aldeburgh.
Walking amongst the rhododendron at Kenwood House in the sunshine.
Coffee alfresco at a cafe in Paris and people watching.
Dinner at Eat 17 in Walthamstow for my favourite chicken burger of all time.
A visit to La Margherita in Cambridge for the most insanely tasty lasagne.
I cannot wait for a coastal and countryside getaway. Whether this be Cornwall, below are pictures from a trip to the incredible Watergate Bay back in 2018 Mum and I had the dreamiest stay there with Joules and I’ve vowed to go back, and I’m still yet to visit the Cotswolds so that’s high on the list too.

I’ll be sharing more photos over on Instagram using the hashtag and look forward to seeing your contributions too. Hope you are staying positive and wishing you a wonderful Easter weekend. Make sure you stay home & look out for each other we are all in this together.
