Girl vs Cancer Behind The Scenes

Back in August I shot behind the scenes on the latest Girl vs Cancer campaign, set up by my friend Lauren who is one hell of an inspiring lady and a breast cancer survivor. The new range of limited edition t-shirts designed by the incredible Poppy’s Papercuts and new range of slogan sweatshirts.

It was so wonderful to be part of such a mammoth team of amazing ladies from across the UK all with incredible online presences. To have all these ladies in one room created such a hub of positive energy. The campaign imagery was shot by Holly McGlynn which you can see over on www.girlvscancer.co.uk and you can also see the amazing video Joe Davenport and his team created here. What a creative team to be apart of for such a wonderful shoot. I couldn’t be prouder of Lauren for putting it all together.

Lauren set up Girl vs Cancer amidst being diagnosed with breast cancer and going through treatment and it has slowly been building up getting bigger and bigger with the release of each of these limited edition tit-tee ranges. It has been honestly magnificent to see it grow into what it is today. The fact Lauren had the vision to put together something so thoughtful and to raise awareness of breast cancer whilst going through it herself to me is truly mind blowing. Girl vs Cancer Tit-Tees donate 25% of all sales to its partner charities; Coppa Feel, Trekstock, Future Dreams, Look Good Feel Better. You can read more about why each of these specific charities have been chosen by Lauren here. Lauren has raised such awareness for breast cancer and encourages both women and men to check their mammaries on a regular basis. You can read about how to check your boobs with this handy checklist from Coppa Feel here. Also if you know of someone who recently been diagnosed with cancer or are wanting to help someone with cancer, Lauren’s Keep Calm Cancer Tips could be very helpful.

Now if you fancy getting your hands on a limited edition tit-tee or slogan sweatshirt which I really recommend you do, you can purchase them from here. Not only will you be raising awareness for an incredible cause but you’ll look sassy as hell!

Also wanted to say a huge thank you to the volunteers on the shoot day, along with JJ Locations for such an epic studio space, Grape and Fig for providing the most insane grazing table which has now left me utterly obsessed with the concept, Caravan and Ozone for providing breakfast and coffee, juices from Daily Dose LDN and Krispy Kreme for delivering sugary afternoon treats just when they were needed. And finally the lovely Boobettes from Coppa Feel that stopped by to educate us on how to check our boobs on the shoot day.

You can follow Lauren on both her personal account @Girlstolelondon and of course @GirlvsCancer I urge you to do so…. NOW!
