I am always on the look at for new places opening in London. I like going to places that are relatively unknown and then being able to tell people about them. Having a little insider knowledge always feels like a burst of sunshine when you get to share it with someone else. Which brings me onto Serata Hall, newly opened in April just off of Old Street roundabout right by Shoreditch Grind.
After stepping off of the very busy Old Street roundabout, the interior feels as if you could be far from London, a calmer and more relaxed feel than the bustling city on its doorstep. I love the high ceiling and design aesthetic. There’s been lots of attention paid to even the smallest of details which makes such a difference for the visitors and customers.
Sarah and I stopped by one morning for coffee and a sweet treat. They have an in-house bakery where they make their own fresh bread, cakes and pastries. If you’re after a more savoury touch, they have a coal oven and make fresh pizzas and they offer bottomless brunches throughout the weekend, we knew immediately that we’d be coming back.
Not only that but they also run Gin masterclasses, where you can blend and bottle your own gin, then mix, shake and stir your own cocktails. Gin is my tipple of choice, such a fun idea and vibrant location to do it in, it would be so lovely to treat a friend for their birthday. Serata Hall also run a hot desking facility which includes bottomless coffee (I mean what more could you ask for) not forgetting speedy wifi and a range of packages to choose from; Daily, Weekly or even Monthly passes. I know I’d be pretty darn happy to work from here if I was doing admin for the day. A bright and delightful addition to Old Street, I look forward to returning soon for food and cocktails.
