Postcards from the coast

When it comes to taking time off, you’d usually assume you’d step away from your job for a week, fortnight or long weekend. However seeing as I’m a photographer and it is my absolute passion to create photos, when I’m on holiday I love to shoot and I  don’t go anywhere without my camera. In fact I would feel rather lost without it. I love having it to document special memories, moments and scenes that catch my eye. Taking photos whilst on holiday doesn’t feel like work to me, it helps me feel creative again and ready for new and exciting projects that lay ahead if me.

Today’s post is some of the memories from my staycation on the Suffolk coast with family last month, a bit like a giant collage of postcards. One of the my favourite pastimes from the holiday was renting out the rowing boats on Thorpeness Meare and then getting ice cream (below there’s a photo of George enjoying his first Mr Whippy ice cream I’ll be cherishing this photo forever).  The little’s loved the boating lake.

We had the most amazing week away as a family and I felt like I really got to recharge my batteries which was just in time to move flats the following week.
