Aldeburgh is without a doubt one of my favourite places to spend a weekend away. This long weekend back in September consisted of family, friends, sunshine and a big serving of fish and chips! The perfect combination. Not only does Aldeburgh have a pebble beach (pebbles over sand any day) but it’s also home to the best fish and chips in the country, not to mention the onion rings … (My mouth is watering as I type). Our particular favourite spot was a little wall beside our house, where we could be found snuggled with a cup of tea on a crisp morning, to sipping on cocktails and glass clinking of an evening.
Rowing at Orford Ness had to be the highlight of the weekend, our attempt at racing may have been pitiful, but was such a laugh all round! We seriously lucked out with the weather, and were blessed with a gorgeous afternoon spent soaking up the rays whilst sitting in pub gardens and strolling back in the afternoon across the pebble beach. Some were even brave enough to take a dip! With the help of some much anticipated Ameretto Sours (yum) we managed to thaw ourselves out and put some colour back in our cheeks. It was an evening of cheers all round… From dinner to star gazing to dancing on tables, it was a certainly a night to remember!
~ Aldeburgh we love you, and will be back, very very soon! ~

Fish & chips are quite a delight aren't they 🙂
I live about 20 minutes from Aldeburgh- it's such a gorgeous seaside town, your photography captures it brilliantly 🙂 I always take my friends who aren't from the area there (and to explore the boating lake at Thorpeness after) and haven't yet had anyone not like it! xx
Thanks so much Rachel, thats so lovely of you. I do love Aldeburgh, I can't imagine anyone disliking it 🙂 x
