I’d been shooting for La Redoute in Ile de Re for a few days (more on that shoot coming soon). After stepping off the plane when I arrived back in the UK, I received an email from Brita asking if I’d like come along and shoot backstage at the House of Holland 10th Anniversary show. The past few seasons at LFW have been jam packed and full of shoots, which has been fab. But one thing I have not had the opportunity to do previously is to shoot backstage at a show. So of course my answer was YES!
Henry Holland worked closely alongside Brita for this anniversary show to create a disposable plastic bottle free show. They offered Brita’s fill & go bottles which have a built in replaceable filter in the cap, to all of the guests upon arrival.
Backstage was as hectic and jam packed as I’d expected but it was brilliant to be a part of the chaos as models, make-up artists and hair stylists frantically prepared for showtime. Final touches in place and models getting into their first looks for the show, it was time to head down to the show space as the guests began to arrive. A few special faces lined the front row too, including Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, Ella Eyre, Tanya Burr, Fearne Cotton and Izy Bizu. Some furry friends from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home came along as well, who were just too gorgeous not to take some photos of!
As the guests began to take their seats I headed towards the end of the catwalk to set up and shoot the show. Below I’ve shared some of my favourite pieces from the collection. I love the way Henry has mixed up gingham, florals, embroidery and patterns in this collection. Unlike most shows the HOH finale had a little twist. Seeing as it was the 10th anniversary show, Henry payed homage to his first catwalk show. He created slogan t-shirts called the ‘Fashion Groupies’ paying tribute to brands and names across the fashion world. For his 10th anniversary there was a modern twist, focusing on the fashion icons of today including Cara Delevigne, Karlie Kloss and Bella Hadid. A fantastic show from House of Holland, here’s to the next 10 years!
A massive thank you to the Brita team for inviting me along to the show and to cover the event for them!
